Wow, It's Been a While. Here's an Update.

Been a while, huh?

I've been busy with non-game dev things, and some of my friends checked out the game. There's... still a lot of fixing to do. Damnit. v1.2 is in the works, which should add proper resolution options, and make death MUCH less infuriating (in v1.0-1.1, if you die in a level, you HAVE to restart the entire game. I don't think this is fair anymore.) When you die, I think I'll can the game over screen, and just play a funny sound effect or something.

And, uh, the jump bug? When you stick to a wall, you kinda lose the ability to jump? Well, I was a novice (and still am, now) so, I rough patched with a retry level button. I will keep it as a failsafe, but I'll look into the buggy mess that is Space Dash and see if I can fix it. Maybe, I'll need to re-write all of the platformer code. I'm up to the challenge. One last thing: In a future update (not v1.2), I plan to replace the pixel art. A friend of mine has offered to create new art for the main game and an upcoming DLC, I've taken the offer. (I'm sorry, Muffin! Muffin was the original pixel artist.) The art should breathe new life into the game. If the game becomes less buggy, I may even consider a Steam launch. The game will ALWAYS remain free for the base experience, but I am thinking about charging for the DLC. Only if it's good enough, of course.

I hope to release v1.2 soon, add some new art, and expand the game (new story, more platforming, new characters)!
